Case Study: Ride Away

At Crown Display, we are proud to be one of the leading suppliers and shop fitters for over a decade to Equestrian & Country stores. Our recent project we conducted was at Ride Away Equestrian in York, which was a huge success.

Ride Away was established in 1980 and is at the heart of the equestrian community. With a 15,000-square foot superstore, it offers all horse riding needs for customers, renowned for their huge selection of equestrian clothing and horse riding equipment.

The Project

This project began in September, with the aim to boost spaces within their shop area. Retailers often struggle with the cost benefit ratio refurbishing your shop can bring to their business. Our aim for the project was to create a climate where customers enjoy the shopping atmosphere within a retail store.

The company wanted a different and more professional look to their shop shelving, to present their products for the higher quality that they are.

The Crown Display Solution

In order to meet the requirements of our client, we carefully selected the appropriate equipment to be installed throughout the project. We were able to do this by carefully analysing the images sent to us regarding the space.

Slatwall played a crucial part in how the client wanted their premises to look, giving a more clinical, concise and organised feel. We supplied our new range of rustic display stands, which supplied wicker baskets for displaying smaller items, and our rustic oak slatwall panels were placed along the main wall behind the counter.

In addition, we supplied retail shelving, keeping within the modular style of the shop. To create this, we supplied gondola units with rustic backing, aluminium inserts and mirrored end panels, which would create further benefits for customers when within the store.

The Results

Our shop shelving allowed Ride Away to display heavier items, such as animal bags that come in 600mm sizes and need a minimum of 90kg weight bearing allowance. Overall, the project was successfully finished in three days.

Each of our shop fittings are measured to precision, reducing delays in delivery and quantity errors. We pride ourselves on supply retail which we source from the UK and, has a published tested weight maximum which we can provide our customers.
