In the beginning we used pen, paper and legwork (the old fashioned way). Many a day was spent out in all weathers including snow, researching shelving, talking to shop owners and finding out what our potential customers wanted. We discovered that the shopfitting industry was perceived to have not such a great reputation and one of our first main aims at Crown Display was to change this perception by providing our customers with good old fashioned customer service. This has become key to our success, along with excellent value. We caught up with technology about 10 years ago, computerising everything and streamlining systems to improve your ordering experience (even if the Managing Director still prefers to use his pen and paper).
Our staff have been with us for many years, have excellent working relationships and obtain great enjoyment and satisfaction from their work. Laughter is often heard in the office when someone is sent to get a “left handed mallet”. Their happiness is infectious and we hope that you can “hear the smile” whenever you call us. In this modern day of technology, many purchases are made without ever speaking to a person and the whole process is almost completely automated (including telephone menu systems). When you place your order with us, either on the internet or over the phone, it will be checked and processed by a member of staff. We view our website as an enhancement to our ordering system; it does not replace real people. Every call or email you make to us will be answered by a person, and with a smile.
